Right, will begin offering customers a new approach to sharing their Revit models with a distributed project team.  By utilizing Riverbed’s WAN Accelerator solutions, and applying it to the “model-centric” workflow associated with Revit and other BIM products, CSG can provide live access to your Revit model(s) as if everyone was in the same room. 

 With Riverbed deployments across the country, specifically addressing Revit and CAD file sharing issues for A/E/C firms, CSG is recognized by Riverbed as its premier partner in this vertical.  With this solution, so long as the remote office (or Partner office) is utilizing a Riverbed Steelhead device, and/or Steelhead Mobile client, optimization will occur between the user and the Revit model, hosted on the CSG server.

“We had been approached by several small to mid-sized A/E/C firms over the past couple of years about how to effectively share their Revit models with partner firms”, said Scott Noble, President of CSG.  “Since we been applying the Riverbed solution to the Revit Collaboration problem for US firms anyway, this seemed like a natural extension to our solution; one that allowed us to simply host the model for the team”.
