Joe Stevens Joins CSG!

CSG is pleased to announce that Joe Stevens has joined our group, promoting solutions for Collaboration and Consolidation in the manufacturing and A/E/C sectors.  Joe brings many years of experience to our team.  Joe will work primarily in Indiana, Southwest Ohio, and Kentucky.  Joe can be reached at 317-502-1821 or joe.stevens@cs-grp.net

Welcome aboard, Joe !!

Greetings!

Many thanks to all who participated in our BIM Model Collaboration Survey.  The results are compiled and posted below.  Some very interesting results, we think !

We're pleased to announce the arrival of Joe Stevens to our CSG family.  Joe has several years in the Riverbed solutions channel and brings a strong history of successful deployments to CSG.  Read more about Joe below.

CSG has created a Strategic Affiliation with ModernTech AEC, out of Knoxville, TN.  With this Strategic Affiliation, CSG will support ModernTech AEC customers with support and implementation services, and assist ModernTech AEC personnel with new opportunities in the Southeastern United States.

Finally, we've updated our website and launched a new domain, www.cs-grp.net.  This was done to separate our two divisions and allow us, the Collaboration Systems Group, to better position ourselves as Riverbed's go to partner for all A/E/C segments.

Why work with CSG for Collaboration?

Q.  CSG is a midwest-based firm.  How can we support national accounts?

A.  CSG offers onsite deployment and services anywhere in the U.S, but with today's available technology, CSG can save you money by providing internet-based services and support.  CSG also utilizes an onsite "Proof of Concept" program, that allows you to see the solution work on your network before you spend a dime.

Q.  What makes CSG different?

A.  Experience !.  CSG personnel have over 60 years experience in the CAD and I.T reseller channels.  CSG is the recognized leader in Revit Collaboration solutions and have deployments across the United States.

Q,   What's the big deal about Revit, and why is it different?

A.  The "Model-centric" workflow is the difference.  Revit utilizes a multi-user model approach, requiring each user to work on a single model (or linked models for multi-discipline).  Copying models to FTP sites, or static internet portals breaks the "model-centric" workflow associated with Revit.  If you thought it was difficult to manage multiple versions of a 4MB AutoCAD file, try it with a 100MB Revit model !  CSG's solution is to address the latency on your existing connections to make it feel for all users as if they are working in one room, regardless of their physical location.

Q.  I'm just a single office firm, how can Riverbed help me?

A.  We've seen a tremendous amount of partnering since our national economic downturn....more than usual.  Due to the amount of layoffs in our industries, smaller, single office firms have more of a need to work with outside partners on projects.  If these are Revit projects, based on the "Model-centric" workflow, the Riverbed soution would allow the single office firm to host the model, or to conect to an outside hosted model through an accelerated VPN connection, and work with the remote partner as if they were all in the same office.
